Children’s Dance – Ballroom & Latin American

0

Pre-school dance classes are fun for both boys and girls of all abilities aged from three years.

Children benefit from the structure of a class, social interaction, and the imaginative and physical activity.

S

The earlier that we can introduce children to the dancing bug, the more likely that they will be

to continue to participate in fitness activities in later years and have a more healthy lifestyle.

What it is…

O

With the recent Strictly Come Dancing comeback, Ballroom and Latin American are our busiest dance subjects amongst all ages. Classes or private lessons are available.

We will teach your child to Waltz, Foxtrot, Cha Cha Cha and Jive and a number of

fun dances aimed at developing ability and awareness.

Examinations are also available for those that wish to pursue their hobby to the next level.

O

Special clothing or footwear required?

Long term participants are required to wear Ballroom dance shoes. We don’t mind if your child wants to sample the classes for a few weeks in normal footwear first.

Whilst we don’t have set uniform for classes, we recommend that they wear something that they can move easily in i.e. not jeans etc.

Trainers are not recommended as they tend to stick on the floor and can be dangerous.

Our mission is to provide professional dance provision to all age groups.

We aim to make dance accessible to all, and work with our students

to develop their skills. Students will learn in a relaxed and fun environment

that will nurture their natural ability to move developing their own style,

rhythm and interpretative skills. Attending regular dance classes

can improve flexibility, strength and stamina whilst also conditioning the body.

We offer a comprehensive range of assessments through our ties

with United Kingdom Alliance of Professional Teachers of DancinTeachers.

All students have the opportunity to take part in our regular examination sessions.
